The
house
Located in the heart of Angers "la Maison d'Adam",
dwelling place built at the end of the 15th century
has become the House of Craftsmen.
It is the ideal place to discover arts and crafts
and to get to know the best craftsmen of the Loire
Valley Region.
With the production of more than 50 creators, arts
and crafts are represented in a variety of domains
: sculptures, medieval figures, glass, blown objects,
turned wood, forged iron... keeping to the tradition
of local angevine woven fabrics, the House of Adam
also offers a beautiful collection of tapestries
with copies of famous tapestries from the Loire
Valley workshops.
All the tapestries have been made in the jacquard
looming tradition of the 19th century. |
