This represents a high-warp French tapestry from the 16th century. Museum of Cluny. In the Middle-Ages, tapestries were almost exclusively intended for the lords, yet they sometimes pictured scenes from everyday life. The artist has set the tapestry against a flowerdotted background and exalts the work on the vine. While the workers are busy around the vines, the elegant people enjoy tasting the juice of the first grapes.

Each tapestry is delivered doubled and ready to hang up on wall. A certificate of authenticity is affixed on the back. Beyond a quality seal, it indicates the point of weaving, the title and the subject of the tapestry, but, what’s most important, registers every tapestry in a matchless craft heritage.

More than 125 years after its creation, the workshop continues to work on true Jacquard looms.
