The workshop behind the "Poussins Chips" bird collection has been working with numerous Kenyan artisans since 2015, including Nicodemas, an ornithologist sculptor.

In Nairobi, the difficulty of accessing standardized industrial products is a powerful driver of creativity. Nothing is discarded, little is bought, so a lot is made. Artisans are numerous, on the roadsides, in slums, and in markets. The lack of standards makes each object unique, irreplaceable, and therefore often adorned like a trophy.

By offering new perspectives to artisans and utilizing the country's resources, this workshop contributes in its own way to the development of the local economy. It guarantees artisans stable work, with regular orders, in the best possible conditions. One of its objectives is to maintain financial balance: an optimal income for the artisans, and affordable prices for their creations.

Every purchase of wooden birds contributes to the protection of biodiversity by financially supporting the Nature Kenya association.
